This new build structure in central London will accommodate a bespoke modern restaurant. The lightweight cross-braced structure was designed to be suspended over a neglected sunken garden area. The void below has been maintined to service an adjacent car park and hotel.

Natural light is maximised during the day, whilst excessive heat will be prevented in summer with the use of sun louvers at high level, low emissivity glazing and natural ventilation methods. At night, the space becomes a fully visible and inviting space, attracting passers by in this busy central location. A natural glu-lam structure and internal planters maintain the existing garden aesthetic. An additional external seating area is provided with a similar shaded structure, left unclad to the lower sections for summer dining.
