The owners of this property which was recently built by a large housebuilder, wanted to extend the rear of the property, and rearrange the internal layout to make the back garden the focal point of the property and give privacy from the street to the front elevation. The Living Area was flipped to the rear of the property and extended out into the garden, with extensive areas of corner glazing to allow the outside to flow into the interior.

A general internal refurbishment was also designed to give further accommodation within the 1st floor, including a new extension over a single storey garage. Within the 1st floor of the rear extension is a new Master Bedroom with En Suite and walk-in wardrobe facilities.

Advice on design, overlooking issues and lights of right were sought at an early stage from the local authority, and together with a sympathetic yet modern design approach, this ensured that the project easily gained full planning permission.
