    Client: Nanny Cay Marina

  • Our client has owned and managed a highly successful marina in the Caribbean Island of Tortola in the British Virgin Islands for over 15 years. During this time, Nanny Cay has evolved into one of the largest marinas in the Caribbean and is the focal point for some of the world’s most prestigious regattas. The site has also developed into a thriving island community.

32 townhouses were constructed and sold on the site within the last decade. The development proved to be so successful, that a new masterplan proposal for a series of condominiums was progressed in conjunction with the expansion and provision of a second marina. To facilitate this expansion, a land reclamation project was undertaken to form the land for the new development. The new marina will accommodate up to 100 new docks, whilst the newly reclaimed land forming the marina is to be utilised as a site for 8 new condominium blocks and a luxury pool facility.

Each block accommodates parking facilities for residents at ground level, with 6 high end apartments and a penthouse to the upper floors, fronting on to the Sir Francis Drake channel, and backing on to the new marina.

The Condos are designed with a strong traditional Caribbean influence, and will be fitted out to a high specification. Engineered largely in concrete frame to sustain the extremities of the coastal Caribbean environment, they were phased in construction, with all 8 blocks completed in 2022.
