BLOCK NINE ARCHITECTS was launched in London in 2009 and moved to Scotland in 2010 where we opened our office in central Edinburgh.
The office has grown substantially in size since its inception and now boasts a talented, friendly and focused team of architects, technicians, designers and administrative staff. We have extensive experience across a diverse range of sectors and are passionate about what we do.
We believe in continually adapting to change, being aware of changing environments and growing our capacity to approach situations with innovative concepts and solutions.
We value our clients and we work closely with them to deliver innovative design solutions. Their input is valued throughout the design process and with clear, consistent communication we work together to ensure the end product meets and even surpasses expectations.

We care about what we do and how we do it, but most importantly, we care about who we do it for. We believe well-designed environments have a highly positive impact on how we live, work and play and so we work hard to ensure our design solutions are delivered to the highest quality. We provide our clients with buildings and spaces which are designed to stand the test of time; that bring delight to end-users as well as the local community.

We believe in providing quality design solutions which have excellent value for money. We work to achieve the highest possible standards of design while paying close attention to cost control from the onset and throughout the life-cycle of a project. We value every penny of our clients’ budgets and we assess every project in detail to ensure their money is spent wisely to maximise the outcome.

Sustainability
At BLOCK NINE our core strategies involve the design and construction of sustainable projects and the belief that as architects and designers, we have a great responsibility to the environment and delivering environmentally sound buildings without compromising function or aesthetic.
Well versed in the requirements of statutory building control standards we also have experience in delivering BREEAM ‘excellent’ rated buildings.
