Invinity Energy Systems
Bathgate

  • Location: Easter Inch Industrial Estate, Bathgate, Scotland

    Construction Value: Not Disclosed

    Client: Invinity Energy Systems

  • Our client, Invinity Energy Systems, approached to explore options to maximise the functionality of their existing warehouse units located in the Easter Inch Industrial Estate in Bathgate.

Invinity Energy Systems produce utility-grade energy storage and are expanding their production capacity and require additional office, meeting, workshop and associated ancillary spaces to accommodate their growing team.

Initially Block Nine Architects undertook a measured survey of the existing warehouse units and prepared an initial client brief based on the discussions with the client team of the additional facilities that were required. A key aspect important to the client was to retain as much of the available warehouse space to be used for storage.

The brief for the works developed to expand the existing office accommodation with an additional open plan office space and a number of meeting rooms of various sizes. Two dedicated workshop spaces with direct access to the warehouse floor are required. The brief also dictated a new dedicated staff room and additional WC and shower facilities.

A number of design options have been prepared and presented to the consultancy team, including planning consultant, structural engineer and QS / cost consultant. The design options along with a cost plan were to be presented to the client to allow them to review and present to their international board to assess which is the most suitable option to move forward with.
