Josh Cullerton
Architect
Josh joined BLOCK NINE in 2016 whilst undertaking his Part 1 practical year out from his architectural degree at the University of Edinburgh. During his year out, Josh worked primarily on existing residential projects throughout the Edinburgh & Lothian region, preparing detailed surveys, planning submission and building warrants.
Returning to education, Josh achieved his Part II qualification with a Masters in Architecture, with Distinction, with his thesis focusing on an architectural-historical investigation into the way fire has shaped urban and architectural culture within regulatory frameworks.
Josh has continued to predominantly work on our residential & regeneration projects in Edinburgh’s Old Town & New Town areas such as Bruntsfield Terrace, Chester Street & Carlton Projects.
Josh’s interests are in restoration and modern simplistic design in conjunction with environmental sustainability. Outside of architecture he is a keen golfer, football fan and enjoys fishing.
